چکیده
Introduction: Adhesive dentistry faces complex clinical situations, which require the dentist to be able choose best adhesive protocol offered by universal adhesives. Objective: To present current information about performance in bond strength according etching technique used adhesives, evaluating total technique, selective enamel etching, self-etch and bonding special situations. Methodology: A search was carried out PubMed electronic database using as keywords “universal adhesive”, “total etch technique”, “selective etching”, “self-etch”. Results: In acid gel must considered, well type of adhesive. Selective seeks obtain that strong anchorage can only obtained a phosphoric gel, allowing self-etching quality act on dentin. The use will simplify steps protocol, however adhesion may decrease consequently. If there is any alteration substrate adhered, resulting force could modified, regardless used. Conclusion: Universal adhesives allow clinician depending situation they are facing, long pays attention aspects such used, application time conditions adhere.

Bond strength of adhesive resin cement with different adhesive systems
BACKGROUND To assess the immediate bond strength of a dual-cure adhesive resin cement to the hybridized dentin with different bonding systems. MATERIAL AND METHODS Fifty-six healthy human molars were randomly divided into 7 groups (n=8). After 3 longitudinal sections, the central cuts were included in PVC matrix and were submitted to dentin hybridization according to the groups: G1 - etch & r...

BACKGROUND AND AIM: According to the effect of the adhesive and substrate type on the bond strength, examination of the adhesive is required in all aspects. The aim of this study was to evaluate the shear bond strength of different adhesive systems to normal dentin (ND) and caries affected dentin (CAD) in permanent teeth. METHODS: Thirty extracted molars with small occlusal caries were selected...

OBJECTIVES To evaluate the effects of dentin pretreatment and temperature on the bond strength of a universal adhesive system to dentin. MATERIAL AND METHODS Ninety-six extracted non-carious human third molars were randomly divided into 12 groups (n=8) according to Scotchbond Universal Adhesive (SbU) applied in self-etch (SE) and etch-and-rinse (ER) mode, adhesive temperature (20°C or 37°C) a...
متن کاملHybridization quality and bond strength of adhesive systems according to interaction with dentin
OBJECTIVE To evaluate the hybridization quality and bond strength of adhesives to dentin. MATERIALS AND METHODS Ten human molars were ground to expose the dentin and then sectioned in four tooth-quarters. They were randomly divided into 5 groups according to the adhesive used: Two single-step self-etch adhesives - Adper Prompt (ADP) and Xeno III (XE), two two-step self-etching primer systems ...
